Farm Shop

EFSIS FABBLThe farm shop is housed in the original cart shed. The external stonework has been carefully restored to the highest standard by local tradesmen whilst internally all but three of the original beams have been retained.

Natural hops adorn these beams that only add to the charming rustic feeling you get on entering the shop. The layout of the shop allows easy access for everyone and there is always a warm welcome from our team of friendly staff.

The farm shop boasts an extensive on site butchery department where a team of skilled professional butchers are on hand to offer honest advice and service that is second to none.

ApplesThe beef and lamb are from Widdrington Farm itself, the local rare breed pork is from Tom Burn of Hunting Hall, Beale and Peter Wallis from Thornbeck in Stockton supplies the whole chickens.

These are free range, corn fed, gold label award winning chickens and have received the accolade of being a Rick Stein ‘hero'

In addition there is a vast selection of grocery items available including many items produced locally eg ice cream, bread, eggs, honey, milk, fruit and vegetables as well as hand made craft items.

selection of stock At The Country Barn we are constantly striving to find new lines to bring to the customer.  With this in mind if there are any products not on the shelves that you would like to see we are happy to try and source them for you. When new products are launched we will always offer samples or tasting promotions.

The overall impression is of such a high standard that one customer has claimed The Country Barn to be ‘The Harrods of the North!'
